Flight, the critically acclaimed film starring Denzel Washington, was an overall decent movie. It tells the tale of a troubled pilot who saves the lives of 100 people, but is then questioned about his substance abuse and questionable pre-flight regimen. While it did do a great job with Whip, Denzel, and his path to a clean life, it was not what I expected in terms of plot line. The way the trailer was made I assumed that it would be more about the actual plane crash and a mystery to find out what actually occurred, but the movie abandons the mystery of what happened in the plane crash and switches to Whip's substance abuse and the preparation for an FAA meeting to determine Whip's guilt in the plane crash. Going into the movie thinking it would be a mystery or a detective cop type movie will only lead to disappointment when you actually watch an emotional drama. If you know what you are going to watch going into the movie, you will not be let down.
